Oops! My new dog is not housetrained yet.
What is the best deodorizer to get the odor out from the dog tinkling on the carpet?
Nature%26#039;s Miracle
Reply:a special one that sells in Petco or your local pet retailer. Try Febreze
Reply:Febreeze Pet odors works ok for me. I have a small pup tho and she%26#039;s mostly crate trained.
But the Nature%26#039;s Miracle is the best. My Mother-in law always used that.
Reply:I have used a product found only at Petco called Nature%26#039;s Miracle. It%26#039;s great at removing urine stains and it has enzymes that remove urine odor. I don%26#039;t know what I would do without it while training a puppy! I usually have Stanley Steamer clean my carpets once a year...when I showed them what I used to clean accidents made by my puppy, they said it was a good cleaner because it didn%26#039;t have any detergent in it and that%26#039;s better for carpets. Try it! It really works....it also removes stains such as coffee and red wine!
Reply:There are several good cleaner/deodorizer products available at your nearest pet store. They%26#039;re great at removing all kinds of stains and smells, including just that general doggy smell, as well as pee, poop, vomit, etc. Nature%26#039;s Miracle is one, and there%26#039;s another in a pink and green bottle, but I can%26#039;t remember the name. They both work really well, even on stuff Febreze doesn%26#039;t work on or that would be damaged by bleach.
Reply:TRY BAKING SODA!
Reply:There are several good deodorisers on the market - one of the best is called Nature%26#039;s Miracle, it contains enzymes that destroy the odor causing ingredients in urine and has a very pleasant citrusy smell. It is also non-toxic, non-damaging and safe to use around the home. Go to one of the large pet retailers and see what they have in stock.
Reply:I%26#039;ve been there with you!
Mix 1/3 cup of white household vinegar and 2/3 cup of water. Work this into the carpet, then place a thick towel or a lot of paper towels over the wet spot, then put something heavy on it to absorb the mixture. Leave it for a while.
After your done with that mix 1 teaspoon of mild dish detergent %26lt;like Dawn%26gt; into one cup of warm water. Work this into the same spot and repeat the whole towels and something heavy process.
This should take care of the smell. Vinegar neutralizes pet urine, which in turn will stop the dog from repeatedly urinating on the same spot.
Happy cleaning!
Reply:I found, after a lot of useless products and lots of unnecessary cash, that the one and only product is %26quot;Nature%26#039;s Miracle%26quot;. It works and it%26#039;s easy. Good luck.
Reply:hiring professional carpet cleaners to come in and clean ur carpets. otherwise there is no way to get the smell or stain out. normal carpet shampooers just clean the surface of the carpet but if u hire professionals they bring in high powered equipment to clean really deep and get the smell and stains out. my parents hire a cleaner once a year because we have pure white carpets and 2 teenagers and two dogs (one of them still acting like a puppy) living in the house. i highly suggest it. it really works and our house doesnt smell completely like a dog
EDIT: also u want to train that dog ASAP
Reply:something that has enzyme, try Petsmart
Reply:50/50 vinegar and water. Douse and soak the area, dab dry, douse, dab, then cover. The acid in the vinegar kills those stinky degrading proteins in the urine. The smell is gone. Vinegar is also great because if for some reason the stain is deeper than you think, it will not damage the carpet, it will not take colors out, it is safe to use, and it will not set stains.
My friend had a friend (well that gets convoluted now doesn%26#039;t it) who was a carpet cleaner. She had a tinkly dog and a cat and he informed her that hte best thing to use when cleaning ANY thing out of carpet was vinegar and water. It doesn%26#039;t have chemicals (like nature%26#039;s miracle - which stinks sickly sweet by the way), so it never sets stains. That means, if there is a problem and you need to hire a professional, you haven%26#039;t set the stain and they won%26#039;t say, oops, sorry, nothing I can do here.
50/50 vinegar and water - it%26#039;s all it takes.
Reply:When I was potty training my puppy, I used UrineBgone. Its a spray that comes with a black light so you can scan your carpet to see where the puppy pottied. I picked mine up at Walmart. It takes the smell out and it also works on vomit spots too.
