Cat Litter Deodorizer?

Can anyone recommend something that you can add to litter that will actually WORK in helping deodorize the smell of urine? I change my litter weekly and scoop daily and use Fresh Step Clumping Litter w/ Odor Absorbing Carbon. I have tried just basic baking soda and have noticed that helps only a little

Cat Litter Deodorizer?
I have found that a Feline Pine type of litter works well. We actually use the one marketed for use in horse stalls because it is the exact same thing and available at a fraction of the price. We scoop out the solids daily and it%26#039;s really only at the end of the litter%26#039;s %26quot;life%26quot; that we get any real urine odor. We have 4 cats so I think that%26#039;s pretty good.
Reply:baking soda helps alot i have 2 cats who are male so theyre urine is baad and its cheap too make sure you have a good litter i use tidy cats and if u you use one with baking soda in it already put a little more in the litter box cause it makes the litter not stick
Reply:they sell cat litter that is crystals it is the greatest stuff EVER sold.. cant smell it at all... just have to farm out the crap
Reply:I had trouble with this too until my friend told me what she did, and I thought it was stupid till I tried it.

Buy that pine litter, it%26#039;s big pellets, and put a layer on the bottom under the regular litter. Keep up the scooping and changing as normal. The pine pellets really counteract the ammonia well, and because they are under the other litter at least my cat didn%26#039;t seem to mind at all.
Reply:Make sure you clean around the cat box also sometimes urine gets underneath the box and on the wall.
